Shirin Khosravi

Every day we wake up as someone new. How better to start the new journey than with skills to help see the success in what we may consider our “failures." Shirin’s goal is to provide an environment where clients feel free to be themselves and communicate their concerns without fear of judgements. Through a variety of counseling techniques, she strives to meet the unique needs of her clients including diverse backgrounds, ages, and presenting concerns.

Shirin earned a B.A. in Psychology from The University of North Texas in Denton. She
received her M.S. in Counseling at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She received her PhD in Counseling at Texas A&M University-Commerce December 2019. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was invited to become a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi for her outstanding academic achievements during her doctoral program.

Additionally, she has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-
Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Animal Assisted Therapy, Play Therapy, and
Cognitive Processing Therapy. Shirin has spent the last seven years working in non-
profits agencies and psychiatric hospital settings. Shirin works with individuals ages 3 years old and above.

Specialties include: Anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+, parenting, play therapy,
relationship issues, self-esteem, self-injurious behaviors, stress, suicidal ideation, and survivors of abuse (emotional, physical, sexual).
